What's KoreaEpicRide?
KoreaEpicRide is a self-supported bikepacking event.
It is NOT a race.
It is a group ride, you start the first day of the event at the same time, however you decide where to eat and where to sleep. Wild camping or commercial campsites are recommended. And, from 2025, commercial accommodation will also be permitted. You can use the restaurant or buy groceries on the route.
You have to pass pre-determined checkpoints for each course, and no one is checking to see if you follow the set route. We leave it to your conscience.
It's not a race!
We want you to experience the freedom and enjoyment that cycling offers through outdoor activities related to cycling. We pursuit activities that allow more people to gain these experiences.
There are 3 divisions.
-Epic Road 1,000
: Length 1,064km, elevation gain 18,700m
(100% is paved.)
-Epic Offroad 700
: Length 678km, elevation gain 16,100m
(65%,438km is unpaved, 35%, 237km is paved, and 3km is ferry.)
-Epic Offroad 300
: Length 324km, elevation gain 7,900m
(62%,200km is unpaved, 38%, 124km is paved.)
Participation fee
: 100,000 Korean won
